TAC.18- Defeating the Evil God Challenge
Dr. Max Baker-Hytch argues that the evil God challenge can succeed only if the "symmetry thesis" holds, but this symmetry thesis breaks down in three distinct ways. To explore Dr. Baker-Hytch's argument in depth, check out his paper linked below.

TAC.16- Does Scripture Teach There Is No Non-Resistant Non-Belief?
In Romans 1:18-20 (NASB), Paul writes, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse." Does this text mean every single non-believer is resistant in their non-belief? In this video, Dr. Rauser provides several reasons to think the answer is no.

TAC.14- God's Relationship to Moral Normativity, & Moral Knowledge
In this interview, I'm joined by Dr. Anne Jeffrey, a professor of philosophy at Baylor University. In 2019, her book, God & Morality was published with Cambridge University Press. There are three sections of the book. The first section surveys the philosophical literature on God's role in grounding moral normativity. The second section of the book surveys the philosophical literature on God's role in explaining moral knowledge. Our interview will be a summary of these two sections, and Dr. Jeffrey will explain how "thin theism" does not explain moral normativity and moral knowledge as well as "thick theism."

TAC.10- Theodicy of Love (Dr. John Peckham)
Dr. John Peckham is professor of Theology and Christian Philosophy at the Seminary of Andrews University. In 2018, Peckham published his book Theodicy of Love where he offers a biblically based model for understanding why an omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent God allows suffering and evil. I found this book to be both profound and practical in its insight. In the words of Paul Copan, "it fills an important gap in the literature addressing the problem of evil."

In this interview, I'm joined by Dr. James Beilby, a professor of systematic and philosophical theology at Bethel University. He will be lay out the "soteriological problem of evil" (a.k.a. the problem of the unevangelized/pseudoevangelized), traditional responses to it, and his preferred response to it. He will defend his view both scripturally and theologically.

TAC.8- Biblical Violence & Moral Intuition (Dr. Randal Rauser)
How should Christians interpret passages of scripture that violate our most basic moral intuitions? Passages like Deuteronomy 7, 20, and Joshua 1-12 that portray God as commanding and aiding the Israelites to brutally annihilate the Canaanites, young and old, men and women. Dr. Randal Rauser recently authored what I consider to be the best book on this topic, "Jesus Loves Canaanites". In this interview we summarize the major points of the book, focusing specifically on Rauser's critique of Dr. Paul Copan's and Dr. Matthew Flannagan's arguments, and Rauser's defense of what he calls "Providential Errancy."
I highly encourage you to read Rauser's book for yourself. It's linked below. https://www.amazon.com/Jesus-Loves-Canaanites-Biblical-Intuition/dp/1775046249/ref=sr_1_1?crid=31GDXKPF1Y6T7&dchild=1&keywords=jesus+loves+canaanites&qid=1627354701&sprefix=jesus+loves+can%2Caps%2C182&sr=8-1

Theists are faced with a puzzle. If God's foreknows that I will do something before I do it, then is it the case that I must do that thing? And If I must do that thing, am I really free? In this interview, Dr. Taylor Cyr (pronounced "seer") joins me to discuss various solutions to this puzzle. He is a philosophy professor at Samford University.
