Abstract
We all have a sense of what leadership is, but as one author said, defining it is like nailing jelly to a tree. Everybody has a pretty good idea of what it is. You can ask little kids what leadership is and they give you a pretty good idea. But, defining it continues to be difficult, especially for empirical study.
