The Church Order and its Supplements show how congregations of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRC) live together and organize themselves. The Church Order regulates the organization and activities of the church, while the Supplements include decisions that synods have deemed significant enough to accompany it. More than a set of regulations, the Church Order serves as a covenant among church members who agree to abide by its provisions and to work together in revising them when necessary. In an era of growing diversity within the church, the Church Order establishes common ground and promotes unity while embracing many local contexts and communities.
