Abstract
In the year of our Lord, 2025, we celebrate the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea (AD 325). The Nicene Creed is just as relevant for the Modern Church as it was 1700 years ago. Let us thoughtfully consider why this landmark was placed for us by the Nicene fathers of the Church and its great theological significance for us today. What boundaries does the ancient landmark of Nicaea create for us? Why are they there, and what dangers might we walk into if we remove them?
