Abstract

A panel discussion corresponding with the Oxford University Press's publication of "The Changing Face of Christianity: Africa, the West, and the World," edited by Joel Carpenter and Lamin Sanneh. A panel of the editors, as well as contributors Todd Vanden Berg and Richard Plantinga, discuss how non-western Christians are adding new insights to Christians’ dialogue with other faiths, the critical insights of anthropology for understanding Christianity’s enculturation in various settings, and the implications of world Christianity’s new salience for Christian scholarship in the North, and in partnership with intellectual leaders in the South and East.
