Abstract
Called The Barnyard Strategist by the New York Times, Pacelle's journey as the leader of the largest animal protection organization in the United States (over 10 million mem bers) has taken him everywhere from animal disaster-rescue operations, to meetings on Capitol Hill, to the sets of The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Ellen Degeneres Show. Pacelle will discuss the themes of his new book, The Bond, and the challenges they present for audiences of faith seeking to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. Sponsored by the Calvin Center for Christian Scholarship in association with the CCCS "Eating as an Act of Justice" faculty and staff working group. A "Wake-up Weekend" Event.
