Richard John Mouw served as Professor of Christian philosophy at Calvin College for seventeen years (1968-1985). Mouw received his BA from Houghton College, then studied at Western Theological Seminary, where he earned an M.Div. He was awarded his MA from the University of Alberta, and his PhD from the University of Chicago. In 2007, Mouw was awarded the Abraham Kuyper Prize for Excellence in Reformed Theology and Public Life at Princeton Theological Seminary by the Abraham Kuyper Center for Public Theology. In 2020 he joined Calvin University's Paul B. Henry Institute as a senior research fellow.
