Description
In 2014, Dr. Jason VanHorn began a project aimed at producing an Online Bible Atlas using ESRI software. This summer, that work was continued in laying down the framework for an atlas comprised of freely-available, high quality, interactive, and downloadable maps to be used by the Church at large, ideally in a corporate worship setting and in personal Bible study.
The goals for this inaugural summer of research were to:
- Compile an academic literature review of existing Bible atlases
- Build online and printable template to serve as long-term frameworks for future map production
- Construct map prototypes
