• COVID-19 has had direct impacts on churches as social institutions
• Congregations have had to navigate new recommendations and mandates which was particularly difficult to do at the beginning of the pandemic due to a lack of precedence (Pillay)
• Churches have had to decide on new ways of remaining open and available and thus of “being a church” (Pillay)
• We hypothesize that churches will adopt a diverse range of changes to their worship and related practices in order to achieve these and related goals
• We predict that these changes will be dictated by geographical region
