Description

The project was selected was a robotic hand that has a variety of unique and interesting inputs. These demonstrations would follow and in class project of small groups designing a simple artificial hand from basic crafting materials such as cardboard, strings, straws, and glue. These interesting inputs included a mechanical measurement, muscle signals measurement, and neurological signal measurement. Effort was primarily focused on the neurological measurement in the form of electroencephalogram (EEG). The selected design was based on simple electrical components and an Arduino. This was done to show students the applications of components experienced throughout their classes at Calvin.
